IHRE AUFGABEN:

-Drive and oversee timely development of diagnostic tests based on human blood serum and other human specimen
-Design a strategy and process for the diagnostic assay development in alignment with the strategic goals of clinical development plans in close cooperation with clinical development project leads
-Provide scientific/medical and cutting-edge lab technology expertise for the identification and development of (bio)markers to evaluate the cell-mediated immunity (CMI) response for vaccines, as well as diagnostic assays to support vaccine efficacy using human biomaterials
-Oversight over external laboratories, including evaluation of laboratory for out-contracting selection (including supporting the responsible function in assay establishment and validation, and responsibility for the conduct for clinical programs), overseeing timely development, and conduct of out-contracted assays
-Assure timely delivery and support regulatory documentation of appropriate immune assays and diagnostic assays relevant to clinical program(s) to assure submission timelines

IHRE QUALIFIKATIONEN:

-PhD in Biology, Biochemistry or Pharmacology with profound experience in laboratory-associated development functions in pharmaceutical industry
-In-depth understanding/experience in development of clinical and technical requirements in the fields of immunology
-Background in immunology and vaccines development projects desirable
-In-depth understanding of biomarker development and translation of laboratory tests from research into clinically meaningful assays
-Experience in managing various internal and external interfaces (academia, contracted companies)
-Fluency in English
