Senior Energy Risk Analyst - London - £40- £45k

Our client is well known throughout the world, commanding a strong presence within the power and gas sectors. You have the opportunity to become a member of their Energy Risk Team, who are responsible for designing and optimising hedging strategy for the Business to Customer (B2C) portfolio. You will be undertaking complex modelling in Excel and VBA, utilising competitor intelligence, and external market factors that may influence the portfolio. You will therefore have the responsibility to influence and commercially optimise their sizeable B2C portfolio. This will give you fantastic opportunity for market exposure which can lead to great career development.

This position also offers the opportunity to assist senior management of the B2C energy team in mentoring a team of analysts - prioritising workloads, training and setting team objectives. Once again, all of this can be used positively to further your career aspects by developing mentoring and managerial qualities.

To be a successful candidate, you will have:

* Education to a degree standard is required in a numerical or economic discipline
* Excellent understanding of the key principles and concepts of theUKelectricity market, infrastructure and key players.
* Experience of Excel, VBA, and other modelling techniques, is also required.
