Senior Electrical & Controls Engineer Job

SENIOR ELECTRICAL & CONTROLS ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in ST. LOUIS, MO.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- BSEE degree.
- Ten (10) years related experience.
- Electrical equipment design.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and machinery.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. May report to an executive or a manager.
- Design and development of automated analytical instrumentation for laboratory, production, and/or agricultural field environments.
- Independently research new technologies and recommend technical innovation in machine/system architecture, control methodologies, and industrial/lab automation.
- Design and documentation of electrical and electronic systems.
- Evaluation of electrical systems, products, components, and applications.
- Electrical/Electronics troubleshooting and designing test methods.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience.
- Design of electrical and electronic circuits and systems.
- Transducer and sensor application.
- Digital and analog signal interfacing.
- AC/DC motor drives/controllers.
- Control of stepper and servo motors.
- Robotics and motion systems integration.
- Electrical panel layout/design.
- AC/DC power distribution and design.
- Automation component integration.
- Communication protocols: CANBus, EtherCAT, SynqNet, Modbus.
- Computer/PLC control of complex systems, computer/PLC programming ability.
- Innovative and analytical problem solving abilities.
- Application of UL508A, NFPA70, NFPA79, DFMEA, Risk Assessments, CE.
