Job Mission
Maintain and modify the implementation of the software development environment, in co-operation with departmental architects and the internal customer.

Job Description

* Take ownership of (parts of) the software development environment as provided to the internal customer. The software development environment is used by approximately 2000 developers.
* Participate as technical expert in projects within the IT CCP ST Software SEI group.
* Define and implement improvement proposals that focus on system performance and process efficiency for end-users.
* Give support in solving difficult 3rd line incidents.
* Strong partner in discussions with the departmental architects and stakeholders within the internal customer departments.
* Keep abreast with relevant literature, means and methods.

Skills

At least Bachelor level degree or equivalent working experience.

More than 5 years of relevant experience and proven experience in large technical complicated development environments

Thorough understanding and practical experience with:
o Development environments
o Version control tooling like subversion, Git or Perforce
o Unix/Linux Hardware infrastructure
o Scripting languages like Shell Scripting, Perl, Ruby or Python

Knowledge of tooling around version control like Collabnet, Github or Bitbucket server.

Experience with an Object Oriented programming language is a pre.
