Objective:
The Business Intelligence team at my client, an international Bank based in Brussels, is in charge of the development of Management Reports. The team already comprises Business Analysts and Designers - now we are looking for a Senior Developer: you must have strong Datastage development skills and experience (up to version 8.7). Candidates from other industries (non-financial sector) will also be considered.
TASKS:
Design the technical ETL solution (Define the technical interface, specs for the source systems, the ETL processes from landing zone till storage) and develop the solution with IBM DataStage.
Design the physical relational datamodel in collaboration with the DBA.
Define the scheduling requirements for ETL processes in the data warehouse.
Develop & test (unit test, functional test and data profiling) the ETL processes.
Prepare the releases & installation instructions.
Your main responsibilities will be to drive Business Intelligence developments.
Based on your depth knowledge of both Business and Business Intelligence you will act as catalyst in order to identify pragmatic solutions.
You will identify the right balance between Cost and Quality/Completeness.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
Minimum 5 years experience in total of IBM Datastage (including some recent knowledge of version 8.7).
Nice to have but not essential:
Sybase IQ (15.4), Cognos BI (10.1) and BI cubes.
Language: English.
