Senior Developer (Core Java, Trading, Multithreading)

For one of our clients in the financial sector we are looking for a Senior software developer for a small team sitting next to the trading floor, communicating with developers, traders and business analysts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Creating standard intercompany trading platform and provide it for other teams to work on.
- Working with traders, business analysts, and other developers to engineer low latency, high through put trading systems.
- Creating and improving the libraries and frameworks upon which the trading applications are based, and developing new tools.
- Interacting directly with traders and strategists to gather business requirements and design innovative solutions.

REQUIRED SKILLS

- TDD, JUnit and mocking libraries (eg, Mockito) are highly appreciated
- OOP
- Core Java, JSON, JDBC, Maven & related utilities/libraries, particularly collections, Multithreading
- Spring Framework, JDBC templates and JPA.
- Messaging and JMS.
- Experience in Hazelcast and Elasticsearch would be beneficial.
- Previous ActiveMQ hands-on experience would be beneficial.
- Relational database modelling.
- Understanding of Unix Operating system.
- Bash Scripting experience would be a plus.
- Self-motivator
