SENIOR DESKTOP TECHNICIAN HIGHLANDS RANCH, CO 12 MONTH CONTRACT

Must have skills:
5+ years professional IT and Network Security experience. CCNA or network/other security certifications. Ability to work with end users. Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field.

Tech will contribute to an NAC project, focusing on remediation and validating systems and system authentication. S/He will use Remedy ticketing system and Jira.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required; MBA or other related advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years professional IT and Networking experience required
- Support Engineer background a plus
- Windows Operating Systems experience
- Very strong customer service skills
- Very proficient English language skills
- CCNA or network/other security certifications
- Expertise in current Windows desktop and server required
- Experience at CCNA level with Cisco IOS and Networking Concepts (Switches, radius, 802.1x, wireless, etc.) required
- Proficiency with Cisco AnyConnect or any other supplicant software preferred
- Experience with Cisco ISE or NAC preferred
- Experience with PKI and Certificate Concepts required
- Thorough and Systematic Technical Troubleshooting Skills (Root Cause Analysis) required
- Ability to work tickets to resolution with external vendor required
- Ability to work with cross function teams while managing multiple issues and tickets simultaneously
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills (required)
- Expert ability to work independently and manage one's time

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide the testing, maintenance, and monitoring of 802.1x infrastructure, including coordinating the deployment of 802.1x components
- Refine existing and develop new documentation in support of 802.1x
- Resolve hundreds of connection issues related to 802.1x
- Work directly and indirectly with end users in resolving 802.1x issues
- Work with support teams in analysing profiles for printers, IP cameras, voice phones, etc.
- Master internal Change Management and Exception processes
