Senior Desktop Support Analyst

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a SENIOR DESKTOP SUPPORT ANALYST for our client in Norristown, PA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provides 3rd level technical support to a team of Desktop and Help Desk Professionals in an enterprise Microsoft Windows environment
- Leads efforts to proactively fix recurring technical issues related to Microsoft Windows system files, registry settings, and Active Directory Group Policy
- Designs and develops service delivery reporting metrics for information technology and business management teams
- Utilizes Microsoft PowerShell, WSUS, SCCM, SCOM, batch files, etc to deliver secure Workstation updates and patches "on-the-fly" as needed to counteract software bugs, malware, viruses, and faulty device drivers
- Interacts closely with server, network, and application teams to better understand how many proprietary and COTS systems interact
- Identifies and implements opportunities for best demonstrated practices based on your enterprise Microsoft Windows OS experience
- Troubleshoots complex application, network, security, Active Directory, and permission issues at the Microsoft Desktop and Windows Registry level
- Develop scripts that automate fixes to common desktop errors

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- A college degree is not necessary, and/or a recent Microsoft Windows certification preferred, such as the MCTS, MCITP, MCSA, or MCSE Solutions Expert designations for Windows Desktop Infrastructure
- Candidate should be able to de-compile viruses and malware to identify how they work and implement automated fixes via batch updates on workstations
- Ability and desire to learn more about how iPads and iPhones connect with Microsoft Windows Active Directory and MS Exchange
- Proven leadership skills, whether formal or informal, within a team setting
- Enterprise exposure to advanced Windows 7 desktop and TCP/IP network computing concepts (WINS, DHCP, DNS)
- The ability to quickly identify and correct software bugs, faulty software drivers, errors in configuration files, and network problems is essential
- Desire to, or experience in developing service delivery metrics reports
