Senior Database Programmer

SENIOR Oracle DATABASE PROGRAMMER NEEDED

REQUIRED

- 7+ years of Oracle PL/SQL development in Oracle (at least 2 in 10g)
- Experience coding functions, procedures, packages
- Experience with partition schemes (table and index)
- Experience in working with improving SQL performance (explain plan, etc.)
- 5+ years in developing Oracle-based ETL solutions in a Datawarehouse environment
- Experience in coding routines to load DIMENSION and FACT tables
- Experience in working in a Linux/Unix environment
- Experience with data conversions
- Experience in reporting projects
- Experience with interpreting business needs into technical specifications
- Ability to meet with users to gather requirements
- Ability to create technical solutions without step-by-step instructions
- Good communication skills

PREFERRED

- Experience in dimensional (STAR Schema) modelling
- Exposure to reporting tools (MicroStrategy, Cognos and/or Business Objects)
- Experience in working with flexible hierarchies (designing and developing)
