Senior Database Administrator Job

SENIOR DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in SUNNYVALE, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Senior level Oracle experience
- Knowledge of or experience with Hana
- SQL

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Manage Ariba/SAP Hosting Operations databases in a 24x7 mission-critical production environment.
- Have a deep understanding of SAP Hana in-memory database technology as well as hardware.
- Work on performance tuning and troubleshooting of Hana databases.
- Learn and adopt additional database technologies such as Hadoop, Oracle and MySQL to provide development and operational support.
- Plan and execute database upgrades and migrations across Hana database platforms.
- Plan and execute database cloning cycles from production to non-production Hana databases.
- Be a self motivated individual driving projects to successful completion with minimal supervision.
- Have excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- At least seven (7) years of experience in a production database environment with one to two (1-2) years current experience in Hana.
- At least seven (7) years of database query optimization and performance tuning experience with one to two (1-2) years current experience in Hana.
- At least seven (7) years of experience configuring Linux systems and tuning Kernel parameters for database use with one to two (1-2) years experience in Hana.
- At least seven (7) years Shell Scripting experience in a Scripting language such as Python, Bash, etc.
- At least two (2) years experience with Hana installation, licensing and support.
