SENIOR DATA SCIENTIST

We are URGENT searching for a data scientist who wants to work for one of our world wide oriented end clients based here in Amsterdam. This is a contract position for about 6 months with the possibility to extend!

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

In this team the data scientists are responsible for some exciting projects on in the short term. See below:

- Build a marketing attribution model to effectively outline the contribution of each marketing channel and campaign within the user journey
- Guide the consumer life time value (CLV) measurement to unearth long-term value of users

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS POSITION ARE:

- Develop segmentations, predictive models, and statistical insights using appropriate tool
- Analyse data deeply to understand patterns and trends
- Transform these insights into actionable reports, targeting algorithms, and personalisation filters
- Understand key drivers of rules/model variation and communicate insights to regional and global executives
- Institutionalize customer analytics in business processes and decision making, both strategic and tactical
- Provide technical expertise in statistical analysis, mathematical modelling, data mining/machine learning Partner with business units to challenge their thinking, provide direction
- Work with global teams on ad-hoc projects and take a key role in international projects
- Share best practices with analysts and managers located around the world
- Have fun while driving innovation at one of the top brands on the Internet with the help of cutting edge technologies.

YOUR PROFILE

- Bachelor/Master degree; Quantitative degree (Physics, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, ...)
- Strong mathematical, statistical, and scientific modelling skills
- Experience in segmentation building, predictive analytics, and statistical modelling
- Proficiency in SAS, R, Matlab or other analytics/data mining package
- Familiarity with Hadoop a plus/pre Previous work experience in Marketing Data Science and understanding of Attribution Models is also a plus/pre
