For our client, an international bank based in Zurich, Swisslinx are looking for a Data Management Specialist with solid project experience and knowledge of CADIS for a new contract role in Zurich.
This is a 6 month contract starting in February/March 2015.
SENIOR DATA MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, CADIS, BANKING (CONTRACT, ZURICH)

To be part of a specialized data management team with cross disciplinary and international responsibilities
Support the bank to further develop its Data Management platform and the respective processes to provide first class data services to various front and Back Office systems
Project work to establish a new scalable Data Management operating model across multiple locations and in close cooperation with internal and external data and service providers
Design, establish and migrate the existing processes onto the future Data Management system platform (based on the CADIS vendor software)
Creation and negotiation of service level agreements/operating memorandums between internal and external parties
Develop the respective control functions and the relevant monitoring tools (MIS Reports, KPI's etc.)
Act as Data Management Representative towards the project and ensure timely and accurate information flow, facilitate update meetings, provide feedback and ensure escalation if and when applicable
To be the responsible Business Analyst for the data delivery to the Charles River Trading System (CRIMS) and document the respective business requirements to replace current feed
Support Head Data Management with resource planning, on boarding activities, develop training programs, establish process documentation etc.
Provide support for ad-hoc tasks
In order to be considered for this role you will possess the following skills:
5+ years operational experience in data management within an established financial institution, investment bank, fund management organization, in-house data group or data vendor in the financial industry
Excellent project management skills (ideally in a data management environment)
Ability to work in a complex Matrix organization
Ability to manage internal and external service providers
A thorough understanding of financial instruments and assets classes including Fixed Income, Equities, Funds, Derivatives, etc.
Experience with Bloomberg, MS Excel, Access, SQL for querying, analysing and reporting data would be very beneficial
Experience with CADIS is mandatory requirement
Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work independently, yet a strong team player
Ability to stay organized and to demonstrate an ability to complete tasks efficiently, accurately and on time.
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
Experience of working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Good knowledge of English language (both spoken and written) is a must
Good knowledge of the German language (both spoken and written) is a significant plus
