Senior Credit Analyst - Prime Brokerage

RESPONSIBILITIES -

- The role will involve supervising and monitoring a team of junior credit analysts.
- Detailed Credit analysis and Portfolio analysis (liaising with Market & Portfolio Risk team), set up and monitoring description and opinion will be required.
- Credit Analysis
- Review existing and new client files and make credit approval decisions within the scope of responsibility.
- Managing the credit approval process by liaising with relevant departments and tracking progression of files.
- Conduct due diligence either by phone, at current offices or at client premises to better understand the client's business and add value to the risk assessment conducted
- Liaise with Market Risk and monitoring to provide credit comments on customers overruns, take action if need be and notify the desks.
- Notify Front Office Coordinators and Management of the approved trading limits and conditions
- Run risk exposures reports for Credit Applications

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE -

- Relevant industry experience is required, with a concentration in Credit Risk Management and Control covering listed derivatives, OTC transactions (including FX, IR swaps), Repos, Equities and Stock lending
- Experience with GMRA, GMSLA, GTB, ISDA and CSA documentation from a credit risk perspective.
- Detailed understanding of identifying and managing credit risk created by listed derivatives, OTC transactions (including FX, IR swaps), Repos, Equities and Stock lending.
- Strong understanding of pre-trade systems and limits and post trade risk controls is essential.
- Robust analytical and quantitative skills that lead to effective decision-making. This could be from a credit, market risk or trading background.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Hedge Fund market in general and trading strategies.
- Understanding of credit management principles, concepts, practices, and standards and the ability to apply them to business requests and situations will be essential.
