Rate: £26.08 per hour LTD negotiable

OUTSOURCE UK LTD is actively seeking to recruit a Senior Commercial Officer for a contract role on behalf of a client.

THE CLIENT:
A leading Engineering and Defence organisation

THE JOB:
The purpose of the Senior Commercial Officer role is to provide support to the Commercial Manager and IPT in commercial business winning activities and complex contracting arrangements. The role is predominantly business winning focused which requires a high degree of attention to be applied to the preparation of bid responses and securing future business.

Ideal candidate will have prior and proven experience of working in a commercial or procurement role in the defence sector and demonstrate the ability to work autonomusly and deliver results under own intitive.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
The successful Senior Commercial Officer candidate will be responsible for the following:
Commercial focal point for implementing Commercial and Major Sub-Contract flowdown strategy and resolution of commercialensuring compliance with appropriate regulations & governance at all times
Maintaining strong UK and Overseas Customer and Partnering relationships as required
Manage territory commercial and customer due diligence activities for any new relationships

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE
Good computer literacy, including all Microsoft Office applications
A professional understanding of domain specific markets, products and customers
Level of knowledge & awareness, to be able to ensure compliance with, commercial governance and trade compliance legislation and processes, including ITAR, business ethics and UK Bribery Act 2010
Knowledge of export requirements - both internally and externally
Past experience of working in a Commercial or Procurement environment (preferably in defence or aerospace), with strong knowledge of contract
Proven ability to integrate and operate quickly and autonomously within a challenging and dynamic team environment
Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally, built on professional trust & respect
Confident in Customer and Partner engagement and negotiation
Commercial and financial acumen
