Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

EDUCATION, LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Required:

Minimum of eight (8) years of direct work experience performing the Dutiesincluding a minimum of four 3 years of Microsoft PowerPivot.
A minimum of one professional certification in specific job-related disciplines.
A valid High School Diploma or a valid GED
A college degree may be considered in lieu of equivalent experience of two (2) years with an Associate's degree and four (4) years with a Bachelor's degree from an institution accredited by the Commissions on Colleges. Note: minimum of four (3) years of Microsoft PowerPivot experience still required with degree.

Preferred:
Work experience in electric utility industry.
Certification in Business Intelligence from Microsoft.
Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Information/Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems or equivalent discipline from an from an institution accredited by the Commissions on Colleges.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Required:

Strong Experience Developing PowerPivot models
Strong Experience Writing T-SQL Queries and Stored Procedures
Strong Experience writing DAX Queries
Experience Building Excel Pivot Table & Pivot Chart
Experience using Excel formulas
Experience in Data Warehouse/Data Mart and Star Schema design
Experience using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) within Microsoft Excel

Preferred
Experience developing models in SQL Server Analysis Services Tabular 2012 or above.

POSITION CONCEPT:
The Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is a technical expert with knowledge of the full data warehouse life cycle. This position is responsible for providing expertise on BI projects including dimensional Datamodelling, ETL (data Extract, Transform, and Load processes), and reporting. Utilizes appropriate development tools and technologies in keeping with the IT architecture. Additionally, the Business Intelligence Analyst Senior collaborates on all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) with a focus on the design, development, and implementation phases for BI components of applications.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops complex Business Intelligence solutions based on specifications provided. Collaborates with Business Systems Analysts and/or Business Partners to develop software specifications.
