Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Identifying root cause for performance issues and establishing plans to remediate them.
- Designing, developing and testing solutions to performance issues
- Define design best practices and standards for the development organization
- Adhering to project timelines
- Fostering teamwork and collaboration across a global development team, project teams, business and systems partners

Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor's degree, preferably in an Information Systems or Mathematics
- 7 OR MORE YEARS IT EXPERIENCE WITH 5 YEARS OR MORE HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE WITH INFORMATICA, EXADATA AND OBIEE 11G
- Extensive knowledge of dimensional modelling in the database layer with large scale data warehouses
- Prior experience with end to end performance identification and tuning
- Solid OBIEE RPD optimization experience and understanding of platform configuration and internals

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

- In-depth experience with Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing concepts and modelling
- Has the ability to perform deep dive analysis of ETL logic such as simple to complex transformations, look-ups, caching and scheduling.
- Understands the architectural foundation of Exadata as well as the hardware and software benefits of the infrastructure.
- Understands columnar compression, partitioning, smart scans and offloading as well as how to write queries to take advantage of the Exadata infrastructure
- Knowledge of Linux and optimal OS configuration
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle database Scripting
- Excellent communication skills, great attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
- Self-starter with ability to take initiative to achieve goals and meet deadlines with minimal direction
- Flexibility to travel
