Senior Business Analyst (SAP Accounting) - Product Costing and Consoli

For our client, a pharmaceutical company in Switzerland, we are looking for a motivated and ambitious:

SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST (SAP ACCOUNTING) - PRODUCT COSTING AND CONSOLIDATION EXPERT

As a subject matter expert in the intercompany profit elimination and consolidation areas, your primary responsibility will be to support the Reconciliation stream of the project. In this highly technical role, you will showcase your analytical skills sifting through multiple datasets and recommend maintaining current processes or establish new ones as needed.

PROJECT INFORMATION:

The Inventory and Consolidated cost of sales framework (ICON) project aims to validate the existing practices towards reliably computing the cost of goods sold. In order to achieve its goal, the projects' approach entails detailed analysis of the existing financial reporting systems & associated processes to validate their appropriateness.
You will work under the guidance of IT & Business stream leads, ably supporting with delivery of the project's scope. You must possess the ability to absorb the projects' context and be able to start adding value within a time span of two to three weeks. Using our client's standard and other third party project tools, you must internalize data extracts and independently develop credible documentations towards validating the cost of goods sold. It is expected that the YOU AS A SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST HAVE CONSIDERABLE EXPERIENCE (10+ YEARS) IN FINANCIAL REPORTING AND CONSOLIDATION AREAS IN ORDER TO PROVIDE CONCLUSIVE RECOMMENDATIONS BASED ON THEIR ANALYSIS OF THE DATA.

TASTS:

- Identifying and documenting current calculation methods, detailing any gaps or bottlenecks
- Developing recommendations to either maintain or change existing processes as relevant
- Overall support in validating Cost of Goods sold through analysing:
- Impacts of using weighted average method to calculate costs
- Usage of commercial goods for non-commercial purposes like donations, samples etc.
- Intercompany profit eliminations and revenue calculation methodologies of different reporting systems
- Supporting stream leads make a business case towards any recommended changes
- On demand, help other team members with achieving their committed deliverables

REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum of 10 years Finance and Business experience in a global manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in SAP-CO, SAP-CO-CA, SAP CO-PC
- Data analytical skills, comfortable with pivot table lookup's and other industry standard computing utilities
- Experience with creating user requirements, functional specifications and database designs
- Hands-on experience reconciling disparate IT systems and processes
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work under tight timelines and virtual teams
- University Degree (preferably Informatics or business) or MBA is a nice to have
