SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST (METADATA MANAGEMENT)

POSITION GOALS:

In the role of a senior business analyst the candidate takes on a key role in this project, which is part of a strategic company-wide data integration program. The goal of the project is to define and implement a metadata strategy for the company. Making the key metadata sets transparent, defining and operating model (covering people, processes and technology), defining requirements for a metadata management tool and running a PoC for a solution. The candidate must perform complex analysis tasks and discuss and share the results with various stakeholders. The candidate has a self-starter attitude and can comfortably navigate business and technical aspects of information management.

MAIN TASKS OR ACTIVITIES:

- Perform encompassing analyses of technical and business aspects in the management of metadata relevant to the company
- Establish an operating model for metadata management
- Capture and consolidate input of the company's information management teams and further leaders/experts in IT/business
- Produce structured and manageable representation of analysis results and communicate results to stakeholders on all levels

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Knowledge of the business and technical fundamentals of information management (taxonomy, metadata management, relational databases, Datamodelling, data dictionaries, ...)
- Able to turn fragmented sets of information into the authoritative enterprise-wide "big picture" Able to deliver results that serve as instruments to be used on ongoing basis
- Strong communication skills
- Able to handle ambiguity and conflicting information
- Relevant experience with similar task in a complex organization
