One of Australia's most established government departments is looking to appoint an experienced SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST to support capacity initiatives undertaken by the department's International Cooperation Branch. This is a rare and exciting opportunity as it you will have the chance to travel both domestically and internationally. The department is looking for the successful candidate to start ASAP until 30 June 2013

You will be responsible for (but not limited) the following tasks:

- Supporting multiple concurrent high profile projects by documenting relevant business requirements, developing sound business processes and liaising with developers and testers to ensure the end solution meets the department's requirements;
- Apply specialist expertise in various areas to aid in decision making, planning, design and quality assurance that would otherwise be provided by other areas in the department (subject to availability); and
- Autonomy when representing the project team in high level consultation internally and externally, including in PNG.
- Travel to interstate, Papua New Guinea and other countries.

Skills required; 

- Ability to capture and document business requirements as well as analyse current and future states; 
- Demonstrated experience in leading the analysis of a number of concurrent projects;
- Demonstrated experience in Business Intelligence and Datamodelling to improve the level of organisational data integrity and reporting capability
