Progressive is looking for a Senior Business Analyst who specializes in Analytics, Data Visualisation and BI Architecture to join the Global Business Intelligence Competency Centre (BICC) team. The position will play a key role in developing and executing the BI strategy supporting a number of exciting global initiatives, with a focus on the area of Analytics and unleashing the business value of BI programmes.

Responsibilities for the role:

* Lead the design and development of innovative and user engaging BI application modules, further developing RB BI Analytical and Visualisation capabilities alongside our partner network and BI teams (both central and across geographies).
* Query and mine large data sets to discover transaction patterns, examine financial data and filter for targeted information - using traditional as well as predictive/advanced analytic methodologies
* Lead workshops to define user requirements, working alongside business and IT resources to steer project requirements.
* Work with and develop a partner ecosystem to support delivery of BI initiatives
* Manage, and utilize high performance datasources (DB2, SQL Server 2008,Microsoft Access, OLAP and other proprietary software), as well as external and unstructured data sources (Bid Data).

Candidate requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree or a dual major/minor combination including Computer Science or Management Information Systems and Business
* Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated full proficiency in BI Data Visualization Tools - QlikView, Tableau, etc, as well as track record of delivering innovative, visually engaging and user-focused BI solutions.
* Demonstrated technical excellence, ability to help leadership lead and manage significant large scale engagements
* Must possess a consultative orientation and ability to deliver a broad range of innovative and value-added services, balance multiple projects and other responsibilities, with strong ability to properly delegate work load
* A creative mind capable of leveraging the technical skills noted above to provide impactful, informative and actionable visualizations and dashboards
* Ability to help lead and train junior business analysts
* The candidate will be achievement focussed and able to work in a direct and often pressurised environment. Entrepreneurial skills, tough-mindedness and ability to influence and demonstrate strong team working abilities and commitment. They must be self-motivated, detail oriented, highly organised, and be able to easily interface with a diverse group of individuals
