3-MONTH CONTRACT POSITION

CLIENT:  One of the country's largest health care and health plan providers

JOB DUTIES:

- Collect data, research and prepare analysis for departmental or functional budgets.
- Participate in the development of departmental and/or functional budgets.
- Monitor budgets and forecasts by reviewing data in the financial system.
- Analyzes financial variances.
- Researches operational or business causes for variances.
- Investigate and correct errors.
- Prepare advanced financial trend and data analysis reports.
- Communicate and support analytical findings.
- Able to work with Operations teams to understand business drivers and to effectively translate financial data into business information.
- Prepare concise and informative presentations of analyses.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of performance metrics, measurements, methods, and targets.
- Assist in identifying performance improvement opportunities.
- Develop financial models to support long range planning and strategic initiatives.
- Perform ad-hoc projects. Participate in projects of moderate complexity as assigned.
- May lead projects of low complexity.

REQUIREMENTS (MUST HAVE):

- BA/BS
- Minimum 6+ years of direct relevant experience
- Skilled in financial modelling at a moderate to high level
- Database design development
- Previous data analyst experience
- Basic accounting knowledge (accounts payable process, accruals, intercompany, etc.)
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel including intermediate knowledge of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) - experience with:
- PivotTables
- Lookup formulas
- Multi-layered If statements
- Index and match functions
- Name manager
- GetPivotTable formulas
- Excel formatting and objects
