Senior Business Analyst

Cardiff - Senior Business Analyst - £45k

Computer Futures are currently looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join a local government organisation in the Cardiff area.

Main duties will include

·Prioritise and co-ordinate the activities of the Business Analysis team, and develop knowledge and skills of others in the Business Analysis team through an appropriate mix of training and experience.

·Work closely with the Programme Management team, senior management and Project Boards to determine the justification for a project, to understand the scope and business case, and to plan Business Analysis involvement in projects and other activities.

·Co-ordinate and monitor the Business Analysis activities through the activities and project phases, ensuring the use of appropriate techniques to deliver effective and efficient analysis in a consistent manner across the organisation.

·Promote a better understanding of Business Analysis activities across the organisation and develop the Business Analysis function as a component part of business change in the organisation.

·Develop and promote close working links with our ICT department and other areas of the organisation.

Skills and experience required:

Essential Criteria

·Recognised Business Analysis qualification: BCS (ISEB) Professional Certification modules in Business Analysis, IIBA CCBA or CBAP.

·Good knowledge of and experience in applying standard BA methodologies (BCS/IIBA/BABOKv2) to successfully deliver process, organisational and ICT-enabled change.

·Experienced in leading Business Analysis activities including: defining and agreeing scope, and planning analysis activities appropriate to the scale of project.

·Experienced in documenting and modelling business processes

·Proven experience in defining and documenting requirements, and managing them throughout their lifecycle.

Desirable Criteria:

·BCS (ISEB) Diploma in Business Analysis.

·Experience in leading and mentoring a team of Business Analysts
