Senior Biomedical Consumable Engineer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a SENIOR BIOMEDICAL CONSUMABLE ENGINEER to join our client in Hayward, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide technical expertise and leadership as part of a multi-disciplinary team, with a focus on fluidic and micro-fluidic systems.
- Analysis, architecture and design for Next Generation Sequencing instrumentation and disposables consumables.
- Design, build, characterize and validate fluidic subsystems and disposable devices and consumables
- Develop and refine fluidic protocols for new and existing biochemistry assays
- Model complex systems using simulation software (CFD-ACE+, COSMOS or other package) for dynamic behavior, multi-phase and multi-species, thermal, etc.
- Drive requirements definition for disposable/consumable products
- Drive activities to demonstrate technical feasibility and define specifications for disposable consumables.
- Document requirements, specifications, design history, engineering analysis, technical reviews, test plans/results, mechanical drawings, BOMs and assembly instructions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- BS, Master's or PhD in Mechanical engineering or related field
