Senior BI Developer - SQL SSIS - 6 Month Contract

SENIOR BI/SQL DEVELOPER

AS THE SENIOR BI DEVELOPER YOUR MAIN OBJECTIVE IS TO DELIVER EFFECTIVE DATABASE SOLUTIONS THAT MEET THE NEEDS OF THE BUSINESS. YOU WILL BE WORKING FOR ONE OF AUSTRALIA\'S LEADING FINANCIAL SERVICES COMPANIES, BE REWARDED WITH UP TO $750 PER DAY AND WORK IN ONE OF THE BEST OFFICES IN AUSTRALIA

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Analyse, design, program, test and implement database solutions to meet the needs of the business.
- Review of business and technical requirements and design in line with environment constraints
- Leading a team of on/off-shore developers and managing their outputs
- Review technical documents and code outputs and coordination of technical testing
- Ensure effective engagement with stakeholders (business, IT, external)
- Understand, coach and ensure best design and quality software practices
- Support of all testing processes and coordination of development support as required, pre and post release

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED

- At least 5 years' experience with SQL Server 2005/2008 (including SSIS).
- An in-depth understanding of Microsoft technologies and solutions.
- Ability to identify and understand client needs and respond in a timely and professional manner.
- Experience in designing, building and maintaining large corporate databases.
- Experience in the Financial Services industry is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be an enthusiastic team player, results oriented and committed to quality management.
- Strong documentation principles
- Strong logical, problem-solving thought process and a customer service focus
- Ability to lead a small technical team and adjust quickly to changing priorities
- Strong sense of ownership and responsibility
- Ability to work without supervision
