Senior BI Consultant
Purpose: In the scope of the BI program, our Client has implemented the first phase of its BI project. The solution has Microsoft components for database and ETL and Tableau as Front End tool. In order to respond to the demanding needs of project's evolution maintenance and new scope developments the BI team is requesting CVs for a BI consultant to reinforce the existing team.
Role: BI consultant, part of the project team reporting to the BI Project Manager
Duration and place of work: 8 months full time, Geneva
Start Date: Immediate
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analysis of user requirements, interaction with the business team, proposition of appropriate functional and technical solutions as per the best practices
data model design and implementation of SSIS jobs in the scope of evolutionary maintenance
Creation and evolution of data marts, data sources optimization to maximise performance
Creation of reports and dashboards including technical support for stabilization phase in production
Based on the effort estimate and work plan, in close collaboration with the BI members in functional units, design, develop, test and document the solution.
Work with the IT team in the optimisation of the solution and assist in the deployment process
Work on the maintenance requests assigned by the project manager
BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
Excellent Analytical skills and ability to dialogue with the business teams
Good knowledge on Data warehousing methodology and data model concepts
5 to 7 years of proven experience on SQL Server and SSIS with best practices and standards
2 to 3 years of hands-on experience with the BI tools like Tableau
Good knowledge on Self Service BI
Knowledge on Microsoft TFS 2013 is a plus
Certified or trained on Agile methodology
Appropriate documentation of technical deliverables
Awareness of deployment procedures in different environments
SKILLS:
Reactive to the changes, flexible and accustomed to work in a multiple team co-ordination
Autonomous and able to propose solutions according to the functional demands
Rigorous and organized
Very good capacity to integrate and work in a team
Good oral and written communication
French and English - working proficiency
