Senior Automation Engineer (m/f)

MY DUTIES:

-Define and design solutions, document and communicate these solutions and build consensus around the solution
-Develop automated workflows for the Informatics Infrastructure and maintain a portfolio of automation tools leveraging several technologies, primarily vRA, vRO and Chef
-Align the technology solutions with business requirements to ensure customer success
-Manage technical evaluations, POCs and make technology recommendations
-Provide technical leadership, analyze technical problems and existing solutions to understand current performance and functionality, as well as develop clear documentation of present solutions and requirements
-Help develop project schedules and budgets

MY QUALIFICATIONS:

-Profound experience in any of the following roles: Systems Engineer or Architect, Systems Automation/Tools Developer/DevOps Engineer, Cloud/Virtualization Engineer
-Good knowledge of developing technical solutions for automation
-Expertise with VMware, ESX, vCOPS, vRealize Automation, vRealize Orchestrator, Chef, Jenkins, Ruby, Javascript, Python, PowerShell
-Experience with AWS components, Solarwinds, ELK, Linux (RHEL/CentOS), Windows Server, DNS, LDAP, AD, Kickstart, YUM, Bitbucket, Git, IPAM (Infoblox)
-Experience in delivering large scale, secure and reliable services
-Knowledge of FOSS software solutions and integrating open source software
-Willingness to travel globally
-Fluency in English, additional languages are of advantage
-Scientific background in Biology, Chemistry is beneficial
-Experience in other pharmaceutical, academic or biotech company is strongly preferred
