Senior Auditor - Asset Management

An exciting role has arisen to join a high-profile Internal Audit team. You will be required to manage and leads complex and challenging risk & compliance-based internal audits, producing reports and recommendations for senior management and the Audit Committee.

Responsibility:

- Primary focus of work is to manage specific audit projects (excluding IT audits) relating to Asset Management.
- Occasional need for travel (15%) to manage audits in other EMEA locations.
- Ensures high quality audits are delivered on time.
- Conducts ad hoc project work as required.
- Takes responsibility for the development of Internal Audit staff.
- Owns and builds constructive relationships with key line personnel.
- Provides advice and counsel to business management as appropriate
- Works independently under general supervision with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgement.
- Provides key input to development of the Annual Audit Plan.
- Represents Internal Audit on organizational project teams, at management meetings and with external organizations.

Must also have the following demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities:

- Qualified accountant
- Experience of internal auditing within the Asset Management industry
- Knowledge of the financial services industry and its regulations and laws.
- Considerable skill in planning and project management, and in maintaining composure under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines.
- Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with business unit management, operational risk management, co-workers, and staff and external contacts, and to work effectively in a professional team environment.
- Good leadership skills including coaching, mentoring and team building.
- Must be able to interact well with middle/senior management.
