Senior Applications Analyst (Intergraph GIS) Job

SENIOR APPLICATIONS ANALYST (INTERGRAPH GIS) needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Charlotte, NC.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- GIS reports and GIS data
- GIS software applications
- Microsoft .NET development

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Develop estimates for development and enhancement requests
- Analyze, resolve and document production support issues
- Design, code, test and document programs according to standards to meet business requirements
- Resolve complex problems for various sized applications
- Provide technical and functional solutions, and advice to team members, managers and end users
- Effectively balance multiple assignments and priorities

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Four year college degree or work experience equivalent
- Five (5) or more years of experience focusing on application support with some development
- Experience managing large, complex individual assignments and leading small projects
- Ability to meet deadlines and operate effectively under pressure of tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently and properly prioritize multiple task/projects
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Extensive experience with Intergraph's GeoMedia, G/Technology, and utility and web applications as well as FME
- Understanding of Client Server concepts and Object Oriented Design, including experience in Windows XP, Windows 2007, 2003 Server and 2008 Server.
- Programming skills with TOAD, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, and experience using relational databases Oracle 10g and beyond, and Microsoft .NET development tools (C#), Visual Basic .NET and ASP .NET
- Demonstrated ability to generate and analyze GIS reports and GIS data based on specific requirements.
- Other application related experience includes CAD (Microstation and Autocad)
- Other skills include XML and Informatica
- Working conditions On Call rotation
- May require infrequent travel

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Programming skills with Java related technologies such as Java EE, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSF/JSP, and Web Services as well as Shell Script, SQL Server, and experience with the VI editor.
- Other skills include XSLT, Messaging, Web Services and Microsoft Reporting Services.
- Knowledge of other with mapping data systems such as ESRI ArcMap, ArcMap Mobile, GE Smallworld or Mapframe, and with Distribution Planning Systems such as Cyme
- Familiarity with land base terminology and practices as they relate to GIS software applications.
- Knowledge of Electric Transmission and Distribution
