ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
In your role you will be an Android expert, understanding every part of the Android platform from OS to hardware to proper design patterns to how people use the devices in their everyday lives. You will maintain a very deep understanding of the Android ecosystem, including in-app purchases and Google Play app submission process, code-signing, instrumentation, and GCM and device specific features. You will be coordinating your efforts with your teammates (iOS Architect/Developers and UI/UX Lead Designer) and peer groups from around the world.

Lead and manage various mobile development projects within the Enterprise Mobile Services group in Corporate IT. This candidate will be responsible for mobile application architecture, development, and maintenance of mobile apps that the team creates or take full responsibility from 3rd party agencies and development shops for the Android platform.

Be able to coordinate and manage input from business and technology stakeholders across the enterprise and have overall responsibility for the design and execution of multiple, consumer grade mobile apps.

S/he must also provide technical guidance in the area of Android development best practices; including enterprise authentication/authorization (via Kerberos), application logging, analytics, mobile design pattern, app packaging and distribution, instrumentation, and memory leak investigation and remediation.

Designing and developing highly complex, consumer grade, state-of-the-art mobile apps that consume Back End interfaces will be key to the success of this team. You must be dedicated to filling product backlog and delivering production-ready code in three to five week sprints.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other technology field
- 5+ years of experience in delivering consumer grade, mission-critical mobile apps
- 5+ years of experience in Java and the Android SDK software application architecture and development
- Extremely proficient with OOP, Java, Android SDK, Google Maps API, GCM
- Must be familiar with Material Design
- Must be familiar with localization techniques for the Android platform
- Knowledge of the GoodDynamics Android SDK required
- Must have a solid command of consuming web services (SOAP and RESTful) within Java along with expert knowledge of WS-Security and parsing XML and JSON responses
- Must have working knowledge of authentication, authorization, HTTP specification, HTML 5 and CSS 3
- Familiarity with debugging Android apps and providing near perfect builds (bug free, memory leak free and no I/O blocking) to QA
- 1+ year(s) of experience with Agile Scrum development methodologies desirable
