Senior Android/Java Specialist - 1 year Project - Belgium

My client in Belgium is seeking to hire a very experienced and talented senior software
engineer to join a team that develops client-side Middleware for various platforms.

Their current goals are to maintain, improve and extend existing Middleware on the Android
platform. The scope of the project covers the management and caching of audio content and
metadata, and the interfaces with the online service side, local secure player and UI.

As a member of the software team, you are responsible for:

- Analyzing user requirements, functional and others (performance, usability);
- Planning, estimating and tracking effort and progress;
- Designing, coding, refactoring software components;
- Implementing automated test cases;
- Reporting and fixing issues in the software;
- Participating in reviews (design, code, tests).

Profile

Candidates are expected to demonstrate outstanding software development skills, in
particular in the following areas:

- ANDROID EXPERIENCE IS MUST
- Embedded development, Android experience (native and/or Java) would be a very strong

plus;
- Excellent testing skills.
- Fluent English.

The following skills are also desirable additional plusses:

- Multi-threading, databases, networking, UML
- Development skills on Linux and other OSs such as VxWorks, Nucleus, Symbian;
- Experience in DRM and security;
- Good writing skills
- Experience in development of multimedia software;
