This role is based near Hitchin. You will be working in a friendly but professional environment requiring a high standard of output.
Typical duties cover:
- Use of strong MS Office 2010 (Word, Excel and especially PowerPoint) to create documents to a professional standard. Main documents required are Excel databases and PowerPoint presentations. This is about 50% of the role so strong commercial experience of MSOffice is essential.
- Proofreading of documents for an external audience
- Accurate filing
- Some personal administration and driving to shops
- General office duties
An ideal Office Administrator will have the following skills and experience:
- A good standard of education. Graduate essential, (2:2 degree minimum)
- Proven record of success in a similar role
- Current relevant office experience. This role is unlikely to be suitable for a returner to work whose skills are not current.
- MOS or other MSOffice qualifications highly desirable
- Current experience in a small professional services firm is highly desirable
The job is offered on a 3 month freelance/contract basis. This can be renewed and there is scope for overtime.
Standard hours are 9-1pm Saturdays.
The rate is excellent at £15-20 per hour.
Please note that MS Office and proofreading skills will be tested at interview. Work references will be taken up for the successful candidate before starting work.
