Senior Accountant - Basingstoke

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT (INTERCOMPANY SME)

eu-solutions is working on an assignment to search and select a Senior Accountant for a World Class client based in Hampshire. This is an interim role but is expected to run for 12 - 18 months

The role will operate with a global shared service accounting team supporting the business across multiple International locations. The role is a subject matter expert for all aspects of the intercompany process and non-trade activity spanning 100+ SAP entities as well as hands on processing of various GL responsibilities, for example short term loan bookings, foreign exchange bookings and analysis, general month end accounting operations support and audit support.

TYPICAL DAY TO DAY FUNCTIONS:

- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all intercompany transactions (trade, non-trade and loans)
- Manage the intercompany payment run.
- Ensure regular reconciliation of all intercompany balances and resolution of intercompany imbalances
- Supervising 3 GL accountants covering processing of intercompany invoices, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany balance matching and imbalance resolution
- Subject matter expert for any issues relating to the intercompany process
- Liaising with counterparts internationally to resolve intercompany issues
- Foreign exchange accounting

YOUR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Degree or equivalent
- Accounting professional exams - late stage studier or qualified
- Experience of an ERP system (ideally SAP)
- Experience of intercompany accounting in a multinational company environment is essential
- Hyperion HFM experience and US GAAP knowledge is also highly beneficial
- Experience of shared services environment for a global operation
