MY DUTIES:

- Support on the ambitious roadmap of 2022
- Be mentor for the new joiners and teach them Scala programming language, as well as Functional Programming
- Writing a technical solution paper
- Implementing independently the new software
- Migrating the traffic / users from the old software
- Ensuring that the new software has the necessary alerts, OpenTracing, monitoring, etc implemented

MY QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience in Scala
- Kafka
- Distributed systems
- Kubernetes
- First project experience in eCommerce

PROJECT INFORMATION:

- The project goal will be migrating the existing application from the legacy infrastructure to the new one. This migration will also be used as an opportunity to improve certain business processes, so it is not just 1-1 migration, but also additional features that will be included. Moreover, the legacy application will be split into multiple new ones, separated by domain and handed over to different teams. The project will be migrated from Scala to Scala (functional programming, Cats Effects, Circe, Doobie), so strong knowledge of functional Scala is a must. Since it is end to end process, the candidates should have experience with the entire cycle of software development: from designing to running it.
