SENIOR SEARCH DEVELOPER required for a key role in the design and development of the newest federated search enterprise store and API.
This is a key development role requiring very strong technical and communications skills. The Senior Search Developer will be responsible for design and development of key components of the system, collaborating with a team of business analysts and external developers.
This is a hands on development role and requires a strong software development background. The Senior search Developer position will report directly to the Engineering Lead and is located in our Dublin office.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL
* Experienced software developer with broad understanding of all aspects of software development.
* Experience of agile development processes.
* Ability to influence technical discussions and provide technical leadership.
* Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action, giving regard to the impact on other project teams, development partners and stakeholders.
* Ideal candidate will have 5+ years' hands on industry experience, ideally working with large data stores.
* Very strong experience in JSON, XML, XSD and XSLT.
* Very strong experience in xQuery or xPath.
* Experience working with NoSQL databases, preferably MarkLogic Server.
* Experience in RESTful services.
* Experience working with Enterprise Data Stores or in Data Warehousing environments.
* Experience working with Enterprise Search.
* Experience of Internet Information Services 7.
* Experience of Windows Server 2008 R2/2012.
* Experience of Red Hat Linux.
DESIRABLE
* Experience of .NET Frameworks 4 and 4.5.
* Experience in C#.
* Experience of Unit Testing and Mocking tools, preferably Test Driven Development.
