This friendly academy in the North of Essex are looking to recruit a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) to join a well established, committed and forward-thinking school, starting in January 2014.
The school has recently converted to an academy looking for a successful candidate who is dynamic and forward thinking, the role has the potential to run across the two terms.

Key responsibilities for the successful SENCO will include:

Leading and developing the SEN provision across the school;
Providing guidance and sharing good practice with colleagues to enable high quality teaching of SEN students;
Monitoring the progress of SEN and vulnerable students and arranging for appropriate intervention to support their continued development.

In order to be considered for this position you must have the following;
- relevant qualifications and experience to assess, support and monitor pupils with a range of specific learning difficulties
- have a relevant qualification in the assessment and teaching of students with specific learning difficulties and possession of a current Practising Certificate and a SENCo qualification is highly desirable
- need to demonstrate the skills required to engage, motivate a support a range of students with varying needs on a daily basis.
