THE COMPANY: Our client is a parkland course situated near to the historic village of Heysham. This North Lancashire course is within easy reach of the M6 motorway and near to the coastal resort of Morecambe and the city of Lancaster.

The Par 70 course has stunning views across Morecambe Bay to the Lakeland Hills in the North, the Pennines to the East and across the Lune Estuary to Blackpool in the South.

With a floodlit driving range, state of the art training facilities and practice areas, it makes this Golf Club the ideal place to spend time golfing and socialising and visitors can always be sure of a friendly welcome.

THE ROLE: This is a rare and superb opportunity to be your own boss. This offers a great opportunity for an ambitious candidate to take on the running of the club catering. You will provide a comprehensive dining service for members, visitors and social functions alike. There is a half-way house located on the course and management of this facility is included in the catering remit.

Key Responsibilities:- -

Running all aspects of catering including the half-way house

Responsible for all catering related finance
-

Ensuring the restaurant provides a good standard of food at an affordable price
-

Managing and organising functions
-

Promote the catering aspect of the Club House
-

Complying with all Heath & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for this position will be an experienced Chef or Catering Manager who would like to take the next step in owing their own business. You will have the drive and passion to succeed and the ability to efficiently manage a team.

Key skills and experience:- -

Have a genuine passion for hospitality, and a proven track record in catering

A flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends

Be a self-starter and have excellent organisational and communication skills

Have the ability to actively seek to promote and expand the catering opportunities offered by the club to the golfing a wider communities

Be fully competent with current food standards and hygiene regulations
