The Security Support Specialist manages the various physical security infrastructures that are essential components of the Global Access Control and CCTV Systems. S/He will manage part of the day-to-day operational support of the various security infrastructures and will work to resolve issues directly or through facilitation and engagement of third parties as appropriate. The position requires availability for on-call rotation and may involve international travel.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Day-to-day support operations of a fast-paced complex distributed physical security infrastructures supporting primarily access control environments
- Respond to telephone, ticket and e-mail requests in a professional, efficient manner
- Perform various programming and technical project/administrative related activities on the security systems
- Performance tuning at the application and network levels
- Review and recommend logical and technical design
- Support projects that leverage the physical security infrastructures
- Convert logical to physical design
- On-call support during the day on weekdays and on-call support during weekends

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3+ years of experience supporting and managing physical security access control systems
- 1+ years of experience and valid related certification with Mercury based systems (Example: LENEL, S2 Enterprise, S2 Global, Honeywell Pro Watch, Schlage SMS access control systems)
- Experience with Information Security and Risk Management, access control, telecommunications and network security, environmental security, and operations security
- Must demonstrate a clear understanding of Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning
- Must understand and be able to work according to team and divisional metrics
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with physical and logical security teams
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities
- Highly motivated to solve problems efficiently
- Fast troubleshooting and resolution skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience in a call center environment
- Experience using a Trouble Ticket type system
- Experience with Linux and/or Windows server administration
- Experience in Linux
- BS in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
