SECURITY OPERATIONS ANALYST

This role forms an important part of the IT Security Operations team and is responsible for undertaking a combination of security assessment and operational activities to provide ongoing assurance over the IT security controls in place

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Provide technical expertise in the management of threats to the Confidentiality of company information
- Identify process improvement across the perimetry and internal defence systems and processes
- Provide security assurance for IT systems through activities such as vulnerability assessment & security testing, which may include coordinating reviews performed by external parties
- Use existing tools to monitor for security incidents and policy non-compliance
- Review new changes and perform configuration reviews for existing security devices
- Assist in the investigation of security incidents
- Perform IT Security risk assessments for new systems
- Conduct Technical Security Reviews of 3rd Parties

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- At least 3 years experience in the information security area
- Relevant industry and/or tertiary qualifications eg CISSP, CISA, CISM and exposure to ISO27001, ISO9001, ISO14001 would be ideal

Strong Active Directory, Cisco Network, Firewall, Splunk, Bluecoat and Unix skills - Experience of information security assurance and evaluation testing methodologies
- Knowledge of information security risks and mitigation strategies
- Knowledge of secure infrastructure design principles
- Knowledge of secure application design principles
- Knowledge of secure process design principles
