SECURITY ENGINEER (SOURCEFIRE) REDMOND, WA 12 MONTH CONTRACT

You will join the security team managing hugely popular services powering games, music, movies, events, and many more world-class entertainment services. The Security Team is chartered with ensuring a strong security program by continually testing preventative, detective, investigative, and recovery programs and infrastructure.

In this position you will be a subject matter expert for Sourcefire and responsible for rapidly maturing network-focused intrusion detection capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- High level of proficiency with Sourcefire administration and analysis, as well as broad network technologies.
- Delivery of high fidelity security events to the security monitoring team, and defining and driving a process to filter out the noise.
- Familiarity with industry standards in intrusion detection, and the ability to dissect attacks and implement appropriate intrusion detection rules.
- Evaluation and implementation of new technologies that align with the Sourcefire platform (for example, integration of threat intelligence feeds into Sourcefire).

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Strong candidate will have solid Windows acumen, automation and Scripting languages (Python & PowerShell)
- 3-5+ years of professional experience as a Security Analyst monitoring network traffic and investigating threats
- 2+ years of Operating System Administration and/or Security on Linux and Windows
- Experience with SIEM tools such as Arcsight
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals such as: TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VLANs, DNS
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to work well under pressure in a complex environment
