Security Engineer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a SECURITY ENGINEER to join our client in the Chesterfield, MO area.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieve Time to Repair Targets.
- Interface with other central organizations to improve and implement process, procedures and automation.
- Provide 24 x 7 escalation support.
- Provide training as needed
- Work on special projects to complete integrations and achieve cost saving
- Provide consulting services to customers
- Perform testing of new product release and maintenance
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise escalation support for Savvis Operations Center
- Implementations of large-scale and complex client hosting solutions
- Maintain network and hosting infrastructure
- Work independently and or engage team members
- Operational Testing and Documentation for all new product releases
- Documentation for Change Management encompassing Technical Method of Procedures
- Perform hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of networking components
- Respond swiftly within committed SLA time to onsite network troubleshooting requests issued
- Creation and Analysis of problem records to reduce incidents and improve quality of service

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum eight (8) years experience as a Network Engineer
- Four year college degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum four to six (4-6) years experience with planning, implementing and trouble-shooting network related problems in datacenter environment
- Strong to expert working knowledge of Layer 2 protocols STP, RSTP, 802.1Q, EtherChannel, Flex Link, SPAN, VLAN, VTP, and Layer 1 technologies 10GigE,GigE, 10/100 Ethernet, T1, DS3, SONET.
- Strong working knowledge of Networking Protocols/Services BGP, OSPF, IPSec, GRE, HSRP/VRRP, NAT/PAT, SNMP.
- Experience with Network Switches, Routers, Firewalls, and Load Balancers is required.
- Local to Wide Area network connections
- Working knowledge in Internetworking protocols like HTTP, FTP, SMTP, DNS etc
- Hands on networking experience in VMware environment
- Shell and Perl Scripting
- Strong troubleshooting and problem analytical skill
- Must have excellent teambuilding and communication skills.
- Provide ability to plan and organize work within a tight team oriented structure.
- Strong inter-personal, communication and organizational skills
- Motivated to contribute and do what it takes to get things done

- Cisco Switches and Routers (6509, 7609, 3750, 26xx, 29xx, etc)
- Juniper Switches and Routers (EX-4200/3200, J4350, etc)
- Foundry Switches and Routers (BigIron 8000, etc)
- Extreme Switches and Routers (Summit Router, Black diamond series, etc)
- F5 Load Balancers
- Cisco ACE Load balancers
- Cisco ASA/PIX Firewalls, or any other Firewall platform
- CCNA/CCNP/CCIE
