I am looking to hire SECURITY ASSURANCE COORDINATOR for one of my Public Sector Client. Please read the below job Specification Essential Experience.

THE ROLE WILL COMPRISE THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES:

work with GDS projects to provide information assurance guidance and to manage the assurance activities required on those projects.

This will focus on those services owned and operated by GDS and will not include exemplars work with and coordinate the activities of CLAS consultant(s) who carry out the formal risk analysis and assurance activities reporting progress against milestones, risks and issues to the GDS Lead Accreditor liaising with the Cabinet Office Knowledge and Information Management team with regards to privacy issues that concern any of the services subject to assurance in collaboration with the Lead Accreditor, compile and maintain the necessary collateral to promote and maintain User Education & Awareness review all GDS Information Asset registers and work with Information Asset Owners across GDS to ensure that the registers are up to date provide advice to project teams regarding security controls and review technical designs to provide guidance to projects as to whether the designs meet information assurance requirements.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

1) Knowledge and practical experience of government and/or private sector Accreditation and Information Assurance - for example HMG IS1/IS2 and ISO 27000.

2) Has strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders inside and outside government across different specialist functions.

3) Very strong understanding and demonstrable track record in the security assurance of web-based services and cloud services.

4) Balances technical, physical personnel and procedural controls to address business and information risks in the most effective way.

5) Familiar with UK and international, legal and regulatory requirements that could affect organisation security and assurance policies and influence their development as needed.

6)Experience of delivering reports to private and public sector customers and stakeholders on services and information risk.

7) Demonstrable experience of working successfully in an team.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

Has proven problem solving and analytical skills. Has a strong grasp of the technical security controls required to deliver digital services.
