Security Assurance Consultant - CESG, CLAS, SC Cleared - South West

SC CLEARED SECURITY ASSURANCE CONSULTANT - CESG CERTIFIED - REQUIRED FOR GOVERNMENT ORGANISATION BASED IN SOMERSET, SOUTH WEST.

CANDIDATES WILL HOLD EITHER CESG CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL (CCP) OR CESG LISTED APPROVAL SUPPLIER (CLAS) STATUS. YOU WILL ALSO HOLD CURRENT SECURITY CLEARANCE TO A MINIMUM OF SC LEVEL

The successful candidate will departments Security Working Group (SWG), PROMOTING A SECURITY AWARENESS CULTURE, on issues such as HMG EUD BYOD devices, password policy, protective parking, safe and secure disposal through awareness briefings. Managing relationships with key stakeholder groups including Project Teams within SWG and the Information Security and Assurance teams. Provide advice and guidance on threats, risks and mitigations that my be necessary in order to reduce the residual risk levels.

The role will also involve auditing and reporting to the CIO, in order to gain an assurance that the project is COMPLIANT WITH CURRENT HMG AND MOD REGULATIONS (EG HMG SPF, MOD JSP440, CESG IAP, NTA JSP604 AND ISO 27001). You will also contribute to the development of the clients IT Security Policy and Procedures, specifiying requirements for health checks or assessments and maintenance of documentation aligned with HMG Security Policy Framework (SPF)

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITHIN A SIMILAR ROLE IS ESSENTIAL.
