Security Analyst Job

SECURITY ANALYST needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Norristown, PA.

The Big Picture:
- The ITS Security and Compliance department is responsible for the oversight and coordination of all security and compliance-related functions for the Information Technology & Services (ITS) division. The Security Analyst I plays a key role in the oversight and coordination of security and compliance-related functions for IT by maintaining strong relationships with departments that support software applications, databases, networking devices, operating systems, and storage devices.
- The ideal candidate must be extremely detail-oriented and a self-starter, with previous experience working on or amongst IT teams that apply software patches to enterprise systems serving thousands of end users. Their resume should reflect recent exposure to patching systems, or coordinating security patches. A recent 4-year university degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is required.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Coordinate IT security patches for enterprise IT hardware and software
- Provide software vulnerability organization and administration
- Obtain approval of new and existing IT documentation from managers and system administrators
- Evaluate, report, and work with IT owners to mitigate potential compliance violations
- Strive to become a subject matter expert in interactions with IT and regulatory compliance
- Identify opportunities for communication of ITS security and compliance initiatives
- Develop and deliver IT security and compliance training material
- Define and maintain compliance requirements for system and software design

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Recent 4- year bachelor degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- IT security patch and software vulnerability management experience
- Experience documenting enterprise security patches
- Natural demeanor while working with people from different departments.
- Ability to simplify complex technical topics
- Great writing skills
- Goal oriented
