Security Analyst - Compliance Job

SECURITY ANALYST needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Norristown, PA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- UNIX script administration
- Monitoring tools like nmap
- Change control/patch management

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Provide UNIX script administration and management for security monitoring tools like nmap.
- Provide security guidance across all teams and influence the design, implementation and management of our infrastructure
- Provide security services to the business, reviews new technologies, defines security configurations, performs vulnerability remediation, incident response, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
- Assesses and communicates infrastructure security risk.
- Act as the intermediary between the compliance and technical IT teams.
- Help decide what patches to apply to many different systems
- This role will cover everything from UNIX to Java to Web Servers to Microsoft to Oracle Database

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- UNIX Scripting experience for security monitoring systems and change control/patch management experience is required
- Solid understanding across a wide swath of IT applications and systems, primarily within how to remediate and fix security vulnerabilities once they are found and identified
- Strong analysis skills to understand vulnerability assessment and remediation standards to promote confidentiality, integrity and availability
