An exciting opportunity has arisen for a high-achieving Maths, English or Science graduate (first class/2:1) looking to gain invaluable experience as a Teaching Assistant to support their ambition to train as a secondary teacher.

The Head Teacher of this popular and successful 11-18 school of more than 1000 pupils is looking to appoint a graduate Teaching Assistant to provide support for children with statements of special educational need either on a one-to-one or small group basis.

Reporting to the class teacher and Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO), you will be responsible for undertaking a range of interventions to support the needs of pupils. Your responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant will include; clarifying and explaining instructions, supporting key aspects of all lessons and assisting pupils with the use of materials and resources.

You will be an ambitious and resourceful graduate with a strong academic record from GCSE to degree level, particularly within the core subjects of English and maths. Able to work as part of a team or on your own initiative, you will have a kind, caring and patient persona and be keen to take on additional responsibilities as they arise.
