Scrum Master Job

SCUM MASTER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Ramon, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The Project Manager/Scrum Master will work in an Agile product development environment, defined by the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Working closely with Product Definition team to align scrum team efforts with overall project goals
- Guiding the team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum framework
- Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
- Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments raised during the Sprint
- Facilitating daily Stand-ups; Sprint Planning, Retrospective, Review
- Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
- Taking responsibility for the Scrum team's commitment for the Sprint and communicating progress towards the release scope goals
- Supporting Agile software development team with scope considerations throughout the development cycle
- Energizing teams through inclusiveness and connection with people
- Defining and improving processes for the Scrum Master role as well as the Agile development overall.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)
- Experience project managing technical software development projects (in the healthcare or medical device industry would be a huge plus)
- Hands-on scrum mastering experience (scaled agile framework experience would be a plus as well)
- Approximately 3 year experience as a Project/Program Manager, Scrum Master, Project Leader
- Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Continuous Deployment, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
- Experience managing projects through full product life cycle within a regulated environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal English communications.
- Familiarity with ISO, FDA and other regulatory standards
- Minimum of 8 years of industry experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working on technical projects

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity
- Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task
- Experience working with large-scaled, cross functional teams in an Agile environment
- Experience with techniques for valuing and ordering a Product Backlog
- Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc
- Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach(example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs,etc)
- Experience in a regulated environment, eg FDA
- Completed at least 3 full development cycles using an Agile methodology
- Knowledge of software programming languages ie C++, Java, etc.
- Knowledge of OOD, software design patterns and principles
- Knowledge of JUnit and Test Driven Development practices
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Management
- First or Second level Scrum Master certification (CSP, PSM)
- PMP Certification
