SCRUM MASTER/AGILE/FINANCE

My client, an internationally recognized financial organization based in Amsterdam has an exciting long-term contract opportunity for an experienced scrum master to join their talented agile team. As the scrum master you will provide leadership, experience and encouragement to the team to deliver against projects involving large, complex technology and business oriented solutions.

YOUR FUNCTION

Some of your tasks would include the following:
. In reference to Agile best practices and learnings from previous projects, establishes the scrum framework for the team.
. Leads sprint planning and task definition, sprint execution, impediment removal and tracking, sprint review, and retrospectives.
. Coaches the Development Team in self-organization and cross-functionality.
. Coaches individual team members to develop skills and Agile understanding.
. Partners with project and release managers in production deployment activities.
. Ensures that Agile-related project reporting and metrics, such as burndowns and status updates, are relevant, transparent, and add value.
. Drives development of the release and sprint roadmaps.
. Works independently, without the need for day-to-day guidance.
. In partnership with the product owner, mentors/coaches scrum teams on user story sizing and acceptance criteria definition, facilitates the definition of minimal viable product, and leads continuous refinement and prioritization of the product backlog.
. Develops a clear understanding of projects within the program portfolio, leads a scrum team with a clear understanding of business and IT context, and develops an understanding of cross-program portfolio synergies and dependencies.
. Drives the Agile-driven segments of complex, cross-functional projects, creating and leading a high performing team.

Knowledge and Experience Required
. Experience as a scrum master in an IT or software development setting (3+ years).
. Experience leading Agile scrum teams in complex environment is strongly preferred.
. Deep understanding of Agile scrum and other Agile methodologies.
. Deep knowledge and appreciation of Agile practices and principles, principally scrum, and experience advocating these practices and principles across cross-functional teams.
. Knowledge of financial products, accounting, datawarehousing a plus.

Skillsability to adapt approach to different types of engagements.
. Good written and verbal communication.

Education:
. HBO or University education degree
