Job Summary

Coben Medical are looking to employ a Ward Nurs e to join ou rClient'ss multidisciplinary team on a fixed term (maternity cover) contract. The Client is an independent sector healthcare company with a first class record of high quality patient care, excellent clinical outcomes, innovation and efficiency. The Client works with its local NHS partners to offer NHS patients high-quality, rapid access to planned treatments across a range of specialties at their five treatment centres in the South West.

Responsible To
Ward Manager

Key Responsibilities

To deliver direct patient care to a group of designated patients during their inpatient episode, delegating and supervising care delivery of HCA's ensuring optimal standards at all times. Ensuring care and practices meet all external requirements of regulatory bodies working to the NMC code of practice at all times and within the framework of the Client's policies and procedures

Skills and know when to seek advice or liaise with more senior members of the staff and member of the multi-disciplinary team concerning management and clinical issues
•Work towards development of leadership skills and be able to lead, motivate staff, develop and encourage harmonious working relationships and professional rapport within the department, with other disciplines and departments
•Report all accidents/incidents/near misses and complaints in accordance with policy and ensure all relevant documentation is completed promptly and reported to the Ward Manager and participate in investigation as required
•Have 2 years post registration experience
•Have a minimum of 1 years recent experience in a surgical ward, preferably across different specialties

Qualifications
•Qualified Registered Nurse
•Relevant post registration education
•ILS (or willing to undertake)
