SCOM Configuration Management Tools CMDB 1 Month Rolling Urgent

SCOM Configuration Engineer for Large scale server environment x4 urgent requirement for Government site. To start on 15/08/2014. Fast recruitment/interview process with possible extensions to follow!

The Support Tools Service Module includes the provision and management of all tools which are used by the operations teams of the data centre (monitoring, reporting, capacity planning, etc.). Some of the tools managed are SCOM, NSM, Newtest, $Universe, EPSD (CA SD), Omnivision, the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), among others.

2.9.2. Typical task list

This task list is not exhaustive, but it gives an indication of typical tasks. The team tasks should also include any other tasks related to the management of the tools supporting operational activities.
* Operation tool product management: selection, introduction, support, coordinate evolution, decide on retirement, etc.
* Implement and maintain these tools in accordance with the requirements of the operations teams
* Create, update and maintain a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) which contains all the Configuration Items (CIs) present in the European Parliament infrastructure with their attributes, properties and interrelationships.
* Verification and/or update CMDB according to Change Order tasks
* Daily controls of the CMDB:
o Logs resulting from daily automatic loading of provided CMDB data (error check)
o Quality controls (orphan CIs, missing relationships, attributes, etc.)
o Cross-check (mainly CMDB/SCOM/Omnivision)
* Processing of incidents and/or requests
* Support to users (advice, extracts, etc...)
* Follow security procedures and propose improvements when necessary

2.9.3. Perimeter of activity

* 21 product management tools responsible for product management divided amongst dedicated operation teams;
* 8 product management tools with full responsibility for administration and maintenance;
* 10 Servers managed for maintaining Omnivision infrastructure;
* 8 Servers managed for maintaining Newtest infrastructure;
o 71 production clients, 2 test clients
o 410 scenarios, using 756 slots
* 18 Servers managed for maintaining SCOM infrastructure;
* 8 Servers for maintaining $Universe infrastructure;
* Number of CIs: 5 518;
* Number of Relationships: 7 502;
* Number of CMDB Users: +/- 120 users;
* Number of manual updates of CMDB data: in February was 67;
* Number of change order tasks completed in February was 91.

I'm looking for 4 administrators/engineers to start a 3 month extendable contract around 15/08/2014
