SCM/Release Engineer Contract Dublin 6-12 Months.
My client a global leader in their space is in urgent need of a talented and experienced SCM/Release Engineer to join them on a contract basis.
You will have the opportunity to play one of the key supporting roles in rolling out new Continuous Delivery (DEVOPS) tools and process across a large financial organisation. The role will suit those who have a passion for quality, doing it "right first time" and proactively driving forward improvement initiatives.
My client is looking for you to perform configuration management, software build and release engineering activities; you will also where possible automate all activities as part of the (CI) continuous integration process. Candidates will provide support on software configuration management and continuous delivery best practices. You perform activities pertaining to setting up, maintaining and managing environments for development, testing and pre-production releases
Successful candidates will have 5 years of commercial experience building, deploying Java/WebSphere applications and controlling Java related test environments; you will also have 5 years of relevant experience using Linux/Unix Shell Scripting. You will have experience of application life cycle best practices for example CMMi, ITIL, SCRUM.
